Police Stop Vehicle With Contaminated Food

(DELAWARE COUNTY)- Indiana State Police prevented a box truck full of contaminated food from endangering consumers Tuesday morning.

Authorities stopped a northbound box truck near the 50 mile marker on Interstate 69 in Delaware County.

An officer inspected the truck and found that its refrigeration unit was not running. The temperatures in the cargo area reached 67 degrees.

About 1,500 pounds of food was taken to the Randolph County landfill for disposal.
