Apartment Complex Faces Fines Following Safety Violations

(EVANSVILLE) - The owners of an apartment building will face fines for not having smoke detectors in the buildings.

The Evansville Courier-Press reports R&I Properties will face up to $2,500 for having no sprinklers or smoke detectors in the Court Villas Apartments which caught fire Tuesday.

A mother and her two children were critically injured in the blaze.
