19 Year Old Faces 120 Years Behind Bars

Last updated on Thursday, September 1, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Court of Appeals Wednesday affirmed a 120-year prison sentence for a 19-year-old Hammond man who police say executed an elderly Hammond couple after robbing their home and kidnapping them.

Their bodies were found in a Cook County forest preserve in Calumet City.

Reo Thompson claimed that he deserved less prison time because he pled guilty and saved taxpayers the cost of a trial.

The appeals court judges noted that Thompson's consecutive 60-year sentences are in line with Indiana's sentencing standards for murder.
