Workers, Drivers Prepare For Western I-70 Makeover

Last updated on Thursday, August 18, 2011

(UNDATED) - Interstate 70 is getting a makeover that could cause traffic headaches for drivers from Indianapolis to the Illinois state line.

Motorists this week are starting to see long sections of cone zones for construction along I-70 from Plainfield to the Wabash River.

Indiana Department of Transportation's Debbie Calder says $37.5 million will be used to patch, pave and rehabilitate bridges across the western half of the state.
