Winds Blow Down Power Lines In Boone County

Severe storms tore through Central Indiana Tuesday and caused damage in Boone County.

Boone County Sheriff Ken Campbell says straight line winds blew through the area between Jamestown and Advance, Indiana.

The winds blew down about 15 Duke Energy power poles across State Road 75. One pole fell onto a vehicle with people inside but Campbell says no one was injured. He says there have been minor reports of damage but nothing significant.

Campbell says crews will be working throughout the night to restore power to customers in the area.
