(INDIANAPOLIS) - A staffing firm that helps unemployed Hoosiers find work says the hiring outlook is improving.
Sondra Sorg, branch manager in Robert Half's Indianapolis office, points to the company's latest professional employment report. The study shows 92 percent of company executives expressed confidence in their firms' growth prospects in the third quarter of 2011. This compares with 86 percent who expressed confidence in the second-quarter survey.
The majority of executives, 90 percent, expect no change in staff levels during the third quarter. But 6 percent of respondents anticipate hiring professional-level staff.
Executives also report difficulties finding the talent they need. 42 percent of respondents say it is challenging to find skilled professionals, up from 37 percent in the second-quarter survey.
The report is based on telephone interviews with more than 4,000 executives from a variety of fields throughout the U.S.
