(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - A small coalition of liberal groups demonstrated outside Indiana Senator Richard Lugar’s Office in downtown Indianapolis Friday.
They represented the AFLCIO and UAW among others.
They say lawmakers on Capitol Hill are out of touch with everyday Hoosiers.
They also say they want programs like social security and Medicare spared from cuts.
Demonstrators say they want lawmakers to come to quick resolution on the issue before the Tuesday deadline.
