(GARY) - Divers on Thursday recovered the body of a 20-year-old New Lenox, Illinois man who drowned in Lake Michigan while swimming with his friends.
Conservation officers say Brett Vanetten went missing Wednesday afternoon in the wells Street Beach area.
There were severe rip current advisories in effect in the lake at the time the victim and his friends were swimming.
