Police Identify Indy Man As Possible Murderer Of Greenwood Couple

Last updated on Wednesday, July 20, 2011

(GREENWOOD, IN) - Police believe an Indianapolis man murdered a Greenwood couple for marijuana and money a day before robbing a bank in Johnson County.

More details were released during a news conference Tuesday afternoon about the arrest of 28-year-old Justin Carter for the murders and armed robbery of Steven and Julie Konchinsky on Saturday.

Greenwood Police say they had already received a tip about carter's potential involvement when the Johnson County Sheriff's Department used witnesses and surveillance video to connect him to the armed robbery of a Fifth-Third Bank Monday at noon and a robbery at a local liquor store one month before that.
