LG&E Employee Kills Boss Then Himself

(NEWBURG, KY) - A LG&E employee murders his boss and then takes his own life.

Police were called to the LG&E Supply Center on Jennings Lane, near Newburg, on a report of a shooting.

Inside the manager's office, authorities discovered both the manager and the employee dead of gunshots.

Police aren't sure what led up to the shooting and don't know if the employee had any disciplinary problems.

LG&E Spokesperson Chip Keeling says both men had been employed there for more than a decade.

Keeling calls the shootings a tragedy that's impacting employees throughout the company.
