Hoosier Teens Learning Defensive Driving

Last updated on Thursday, July 28, 2011

(UNDATED) - Hoosier teens are learning all about defensive driving thanks to a special program. It’s called Key To Safe Teen Driving.

The program teaches teens safe driving habits and advanced skills not taught in normal driver's education programs.

They stopped at Avon Middle School Wednesday.

The seminars require both makeshift "classroom instruction" in addition to practical road course training.

They're part of 14 events taking place this summer across Indiana and Ohio.

Professionals from Lexington, Ohio based, "The Mid-Ohio School" are teaching the classes.

Keybank is sponsoring the tour for the third year.

Their next stop in Fishers High School Thursday.
