(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Republicans and Democrats are deadlocked over competing plans to raise the debt ceiling which leaves the endgame more uncertain than ever.
Mark Damer, with an Indianapolis investment advisory firm, says despite the uncertainly, the markets are taking it in stride and no one is panicking just yet.
Damer says the debt ceiling is a short term issue, but some lawmakers are tacking on long term, important political issues.
He says the two don't always go hand and hand and many are trying to link the issues for political leverage.
