BMV Hoping To Use Indiana State Fair As Tool For License Renewal

Last updated on Tuesday, July 19, 2011

(UNDATED) - The BMV hopes to use the Indiana State Fair as a tool to get Hoosier motorists to renew their driver’s licenses.

The agency is sponsoring the BMV discount day on August 17th at the fair.

Attendees will be admitted for half price by visiting the Indiana BMV website and printing the coupon.

Spokesman Graig Lubsen says it's part of an effort to bring people to the BMV booth in the expo hall, where motorists can learn more about renewing their driver's licenses.

In 2012, half of all Hoosier drivers are due to renew.

If you renew your driver's license at the state fair, you will receive a coupon good for one-time admission to any Indiana state park or reservoir.
