Wishard Hospital Getting New Name Following $40 Million Donation

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Wishard Health Services is getting a new name after receiving one of the largest gifts ever made to a public hospital.

In recognition of a $40 million donation by Sidney and Lois Eskenazi, the new Wishard Hospital will be named after the Indianapolis couple.

Sidney Eskenazi, 81, established Sandor Development Co. in 1963, which now manages more than 70 properties in 23 states.

The I.U. Law School Graduate is still involved in his company's day-to-day activities and projects.

The Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital is set to open in December 2013.
