Last updated on Thursday, June 16, 2011

(UNDATED) - Indiana State Troopers assigned to the commercial vehicle enforcement division have begun performing annual state-mandated school bus inspections.

State police say they inspect nearly 15,000 school buses each year. School buses 12-years-old or older are required to be inspected every six months.

Buses used by day care centers are also checked.
