(NOBLESVILLE, IN) - The son of missing Noblesville woman Dorothy Heard spoke out for the first time about the case today.
Rex Heard read a prepared statement in Noblesville City Hall asking the public to call police with any possible tips while surrounded by about a dozen other family members.
The statement comes as the search for the 74-year-old woman enters its third week. Heard was last seen Monday, June 13th.
Noblesville Police Spokesman Bruce Barnes says they've exhausted hundreds of tips in the search for heard.
He says they've searched throughout Hamilton, Tipton, Madison, Grant and Wabash counties and are continuing their search.
Meantime, Barnes says someone used her credit card to buy $378 in jewelry at the Walmart in Marion on the evening of her disappearance.
He says there's another declined purchase for $698 at the store.
Barnes says there's also a transaction showing Heard's pawned wedding ring at E-Z Pawnshop in Marion.
Barnes says they have surveillance tape showing someone who they believe to be burns in the parking lot of the Walmart around the time of the transactions.
Burns is being held in the Madison County Jail on an unrelated resisting law enforcement arrest.
He also has a criminal record that includes child molestation and parole violation.
Barnes says they want to talk with burns, but he isn't cooperating in the investigation.
