Salvation Army Volunteers Headed To Joplin

Last updated on Thursday, June 2, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Two Salvation Army veteran volunteers are en route to Joplin Missouri by way of central Indiana.

The pair, Jerry Larson and Burt Williams are going to assist with logistics and provide relief to aid workers that have been on-scene for several days already.

The pair will be in the Joplin area for two to three weeks.

Jeff Stanger says both men have assisted with some of the harsher disaster zones in the world.

Stanger says they will know in the next few days if more volunteers from this area are needed.
