Indiana Health Officials Spreading Word About Measles Outbreak

Last updated on Monday, June 20, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indiana health officials are working to educate the public in the event of a serious measles outbreak.

Nearly 150 cases of the virus have been reported in the United States this year and has traveled through the country rapidly.

No cases have emerged in the Hoosier State yet, but health officials are using the outbreak to encourage people to make sure they are up to date on any vaccines.

Infants and people under 20 are most at risk.
