(STATEHOUSE) - A decision is coming earlier than expected on Secretary of State Charlie White.

The Indiana Recount Commission votes Tuesday on whether White's failure to update his voter registration made him ineligible to run.

White is facing vote fraud charges for casting his primary vote last year from his ex-wife's home after signing a lease on a Fishers condo.

In testimony to the commission, White and his current and former wives testified he frequently stayed with his ex during the first part of the campaign.

He says he didn't move into the condo until early June.

Democrats charge White was ineligible to run because he bought the condo but didn't update his voter registration for at least three months.

If you go by when he first signed the lease, it was ten months.

The Commission has three tasks: to decide whether White's registration was faulty, whether that makes him ineligible and whether democrats forfeited their right to object by waiting until after the election.
