Crane Collapses On Large Propane Tank

Last updated on Thursday, June 30, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Indianapolis firefighters are on the scene of a business where a crane has fallen on a large propane tank.

The tank ruptured and propane is leaking from it.

IFD Captain Rita Burris says 75 workers as well as firefighters evacuated the building.

The escaping propane has not ignited, but for safety's sake, everyone is being kept back by half a mile from the scrap processor K&F Industries, also known as Omni-Source.
