(GARY, IN) - The body found in a Lake County Mobile Home Park has been positively identified as that of 13-year-old Christian Choate.
Lake County Coroner's Office Spokesman P.J. Adams says DNA tests conducted by the Indiana State Police Crime Lab confirmed a match.
Investigators followed up on a call from Christian's biological mother and found his body buried in a shallow grave.
He's believed to have died in April 2009.
Christian's father and stepmother, Riley Choate and Kimberly Kubina, face murder and other charges.
A defense request for an independent autopsy will be decided on July 5th.
