(EVANSVILLE, IN) - A recent Gallup poll has named Evansville, Indiana as the fattest city in the United States.
Tony Maslin owns a gym and personal training business in Evansville.
He says he's not surprised by the news.
Maslin says on one hand it is job security for his business but is an unfortunate reflection on the community.
Maslin says the city and the region have ranked low on other surveys for healthy behavior and activities before so this latest survey isn't a big surprise.
However, he says no one expects to be at the top of that kind of list. Maslin says the people who are directed affected and should react to the news won't because healthy living isn't a priority for them.
He says instead people will make up excuses and try to justify the report instead of looking for ways to improve.
