(UNDATED) - A U.S. District Court judge has denied Planned Parenthood's request for a temporary restraining order that would have blocked immediate implementation of Indiana's new law denying public funds to organization's providing abortion services.

Judge Tanya Walton Pratt says Planned Parenthood would suffer no immediate or irreparable damage.

State Senator Scott Schneider, author of the new law, says Planned Parenthood has its future in its own hands.

The group is still challenging the constitutionality of the law.

The court reconvenes on the question of a permanent injunction on June 6th.
