Professor Applauds Gas Tax Suspension Proposal

Last updated on Thursday, April 28, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS) - University of Indianapolis Business Professor Matt Will is applauding a House Democrat proposal to suspend the state’s gas taxes for the summer.

Will says it makes good business sense because summer is a time when the economy is growing and people, goods, and services are doing more.

Will says the last thing we want is for high energy costs to slow that momentum.

Will says the high price of gas right now is all about supply and demand.

Will also blames Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke.

He says Bernanke is in charge of the value of the U.S. dollar and when the dollar is weak, the costs of imports is high.
