No Movement In Deciding Secretary Of State's Eligibility In Office

Last updated on Tuesday, April 26, 2011

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - There’s been no movement in nearly three weeks toward deciding whether Secretary of State Charlie White is eligible to hold the job and a judge wants to know why.

A judge has ordered State Republican Chairman Eric Holcomb to appoint someone by Wednesday to fill White's spot on the state recount commission so the panel can hold a hearing.

Democrats have challenged White's election, contending he wasn't an eligible candidate because he put the wrong address on his voter registration.
