Indiana House Scraps Alcohol Buying Law

Last updated on Friday, April 8, 2011

(STATEHOUSE) - The Indiana house has voted to scrap the law requiring anyone buying alcohol to be carded.

Representatives voted for a bill giving anyone who appears to be over 40 a pass.

The Senate must re-approve the bill because of an added provision calling for a study committee to review whether to impose extra regulation on new caffeinated alcohol drinks like 4Loko.
