New Secretary Of State Inaugurated

Last updated on Friday, January 7, 2011

(INDIANA STATEHOUSE) - He’s been in office since Saturday, but newly-elected Secretary of State Charlie White has been formally inaugurated in a statehouse ceremony.

Chief Justice Randall Shepard administered the oath of office to White, and to Auditor Tim Berry and Treasurer Richard Mourdock, who won reelection to their offices in November.

Their new terms began Saturday as well. White replaces fellow Republican Todd Rokita, now the congressman from Indiana's Fourth District.
