Board Members Charge $3,000 In Party Supplies On Public's Tab

Last updated on Wednesday, January 5, 2011

(EVANSVILLE, IN) - Vanderburgh County officials are questioning the Christmas party bill for Board Members of the Evansville Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The board charged over $3000 in food and alcohol on a bureau credit card paid for with public funds.

The Council calls it a despicable use of taxpayer money.

CVB Board Members are defending the tab saying it is tradition to thank volunteers and spouses for the time spent in the year.
