(UNDATED) - Miss America 2010 has made Aids awareness her signature issue and says the surprise is that we’re still surprised by the disease.
Caressa Cameron says the talks she gives on the disease often end with audience members telling her they'd never heard how it's transmitted or how to prevent it.
Cameron was the keynote speaker for the State Department of Health's Annual HIV Statewide Awareness Program.
The event is co-sponsored by the Indiana Minority Health Coalition and the Family and Social Services Administration.
