(TERRE HAUTE, IN) - First spice, now Ivory Wave.

The Vigo County Sheriff is warning residents of a new legal drug growing in popularity across the nation.

Sheriff Jon Marvel says Ivory Wave is a compound sold as a bath salt on the internet.

Marvel says it can be smoked, snorted, or ingested and has the same effects on the body as cocaine or ecstasy.

Some users of the drug have been hospitalized after taking the substance.
