Sheriff's Deputy Accused Of Assisting Suicide

(CORYDON, IN) - The Harrison County Prosecutor is calling for a special prosecutor in the case of sheriff’s deputy accused of assisting a suicide.

Authorities believe Officer John Britton made his department-issued firearm available to his wife following a domestic dispute.

Christine Britton used the weapon to take her own life in 2009.

Assisting a suicide is a felony in Indiana.
