(UNDATED) - The Department of Defense has announced another Hoosier death in the line of duty.
30-year-old staff Sgt. Kevin M. Pape died Tuesday in Konar Province of wounds suffered when his unit took on small arms fire from insurgents.
Pape was an army ranger from Fort Wayne assigned to the 1st battalion, 75th ranger regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia.
