Career Bank Robber Sentenced 32 Years

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - 55-year-old Von Eric Sweatt of Indianapolis was sentenced to 32 years in prison for five armed bank robberies in late 2009 and early 2010.

Sweatt used a mask and air pistol to rob four different banks in Indianapolis on five different occasions.

At the time of the robberies, he was on parole from a prior federal bank robbery conviction and under probation for a prior Hamilton County bank robbery.

Sweatt admitted robbing a total of 17 banks over the course of his lifetime.
