16-Year-Old Dies While Attending FFA Convention

(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - A 16-year-old girl fell ill and died while attending the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis.

Whitley Gwisdalla, a high school sophomore, fell ill October 20th and died Monday at Methodist Hospital.

Corunna Public Schools Superintendent Mark Miller says that the girl's mother and stepfather were with her at the FFA convention and that her father also made it to Indianapolis before she died.

At last year's convention, a 14-year-old girl from Kansas died after contracting the H1N1 flu.
