(MUNCIE) - 43-year-old Tina Byrd of Muncie received the maximum 6-year prison sentence Tuesday for her involvement in the death of an infant she was babysitting.
Byrd pleaded guilty to neglect of a dependent and obstruction of justice, both felonies.
She admitted that she left 4-month-old Matthew Cheng alone in her home on the afternoon he died, and then lied to police about the events of that day.
