(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The trial begins today for 59-year-old Michael L. Brown who is accused of murdering two elderly gay men in their Indianapolis home in October 2008.

70-year-old Milton Lindgren and his partner, 73-year-old Eric Hendricks were killed in the house they shared on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

Both had been beaten to death.

Brown was originally mentioned as a friend of the victims who discovered their bodies in separate bedrooms.

Brown disappeared after notifying police about the bodies and was arrested about a month later in San Diego, California.
