Indiana Corn Harvest Underway

Last updated on Thursday, September 23, 2010

(WEST LAFAYETTE, IN) - Purdue University researchers say Indiana’s corn harvest is underway, a little earlier than typical years.

Agronomy Professor Bob Nielsen expects most of the crop to be harvested by early October as long as weather conditions remain dry.

A recent report indicates 27% of the state's crop has been harvested as of September 19th.
