(ATLANTA, IN) - A pet monkey escaped from its cage in a residence in Atlanta , in Hamilton County, Wednesday morning and attacked several people.
The Patas monkey had been caged for a number of years and was agitated when he escaped.
One person suffered a minor injury and a dog suffered an injury to its ear.
The people hid from the monkey at first because they were scared of it but the owner was able to get the animal back in its cage before deputies arrived.
