(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The temperatures are expected to hit dangerous levels today.

Dr. Katrina Green in the emergency room at Methodist Hospital says the young and elderly and those with chronic medical problems are at the highest risk for heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

The difference between the two is stark. Heat exhaustion is the mild of the two.

Heat stroke is the most dangerous.

Symptoms associated with heat stroke include nervous system dysfunction, on top of an elevated body temperature.
