(NASHVILLE, TN) - A Nashville, Tennessee jury found suspected serial killer Bruce D. Mendenhall of Albion, Illinois guilty Friday in the 2007 shooting death of a Nashville woman.
In Indianapolis, Mendenhall is charged with the shooting death of Carma Purpura, a 31-year-old woman whose body was found dumped at a truck stop.
During questioning at the time of his arrest, Mendenhall also implicated himself in another killing in Lake Station, Indiana.
He remains in a Nashville prison pending transfer to other jurisdictions for trial.
