Special Election To Be Held Following Congressman's Resignation

Last updated on Wednesday, May 19, 2010

(UNDATED) - The state has some holes to fill with the resignation of 3rd District Congressman Mark Souder.

Indiana Republican Party Chairman Murray Clark says a special election will have to be held to complete Souder's current term.

Clark says the major parties must first assemble precinct committeemen to select a candidate to sun in the special election.

Then the governor must set the date.
