(CRAWFORDSVILLE, IN) - A New Richmond man was sentenced Wednesday in Montgomery Circuit Court to 70 years in prison for the fatal shooting of his ex-girlfriend in March 2009.
37-year-old Scott Malott was found guilty of murder and criminal confinement in the death of 30-year-old Heather Rush.
She was the mother of two of Malott's children and had moved into his house near new Richmond a week before the shooting.
