(HOPE, IN) - A North Vernon man has been killed in a three vehicle crash Saturday morning.
69-year-old Jerry Unsworth was flown by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after the accident and was pronounced dead later that night.
Police say he was southbound on Indiana 9 when he slowed or stopped his pickup truck.
Another driver attempted to pass on the right shoulder when his sport utility vehicle clipped the back end of Unsworth's truck.
The impact sent his truck spinning across the highway where it struck another vehicle.
