Lebanon Man Face Ten Felony Counts After Drunk Driving Accident

Last updated on Thursday, May 13, 2010

(LEBANON) - A Lebanon man is facing ten felony counts in connection with a drunk driving accident that killed the mother of his child and injured four others.

Police say 21-year-old Joshua McCraw's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit at .19 percent when he drove off a rural Boone County road and slammed into a home owned by William and Joanne Shoemaker at about 65 miles-per-hour.

The couple miraculously survived the collision with a broken arm and bruises, but McCraw's passenger did not.

Boone County Prosecutor Todd Meyer says 21-year-old Nikki Labolle, the mother of McCraw's one-year-old baby, died in the crash.

The accident took place on the child's birthday and occurred the Saturday before mother's day.

Another passenger, Zach Polson, survived the crash with a broken foot.

If convicted, McCraw now faces up to 27 years in prison and $90,000 on charges ranging from causing death while drunk driving to reckless homicide.
