Dating Violence Curriculum Coming To Schools

Last updated on Tuesday, April 13, 2010

(INDIANA STATEHOUSE) - Indiana Department of Education officials are reaching out to anti-domestic-violence groups to develop a curriculum on dating violence.

A law passed last month requires the state to come up with educational materials for students in sixth grade and up on abusive relationships.

The DOE will also draft model policies for local school districts for the reporting of dating violence and the handling of those reports.
