(UNDATED) - A travel warning is in effect for people headed to Mexico.
The warning comes as thousands of spring breakers are headed to Mexican beaches.
Violence in the northern part of the country has been increasing recently, especially in a couple popular tourist spots like Tijuana and Matamoros.
Two people with ties to the U.S. Consulate were murdered just across the Texas/Mexico border over the weekend.
If the warning prompts you to cancel your vacation there are still things to do right here in Indiana.
