State Representative Taking Political Leave Following Heart Attack

(INDIANA STATEHOUSE) - Representative Dennie Oley Sr. (D-Taswell) is leaving politics four months after he suffered a heart attack.

State lawmakers are offering some insight into his recovery while honoring him with a resolution on the house floor.

Representative Eric Turner (R-Marion) says the 60-year-old democrat.

in a semi-conscious state. Doctors believe he could wake up anyday or months from now.

The elder Oxley was serving his first term when he suffered the heart attack.
