Education Study Finds Gender Gap In The Classroom

Last updated on Thursday, March 18, 2010

(UNDATED) - A new education study finds a serious gender gap when it comes to reading and math.

The Center on Education Policy conducted the 2008 study which shows dramatic differences in achievement between boys and girls in the fourth, eighth, and high school level.

Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Bennett says the study is not surprising.

He believes Indiana schools need to take this information and apply it in order to be more efficient.

The data shows that no state finds that boys are doing better than girls in reading.
