Cummins To Pay $2.1 Million For Clean Air Violations

Last updated on Tuesday, February 23, 2010

(COLUMBUS, IN) - Columbus-based Cummins has agreed to pay $2.1 million dollars for alleged violations of the Federal Clean Air Act.

The U.S. Justice Department and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency say the settlement stems from shipments of more than 570,000 heavy duty diesel engines without pollution control equipment between 1998 and 2006.
