Army's Decision To Stop Buying Indiana Humvees Could Cost Jobs

Last updated on Tuesday, February 23, 2010

(UNDATED) - The leader of an Indiana supply company believes the U.S. Army’s decision to potentially stop purchasing Humvees built at AM General in Mishawaka could result in the loss of hundreds of Hoosier jobs.

Riverside Manufacturing Chief Executive officer Fred Merritt says suppliers will still have some work on Humvees that need to be serviced, but adjustments will have to be made if the army doesn't change its fiscal 2011 spending plan.
